Teambonders just got back from BIZBASH, an industry event attended by more than 2,000 event pros who are key decision makers in holding events and meetings. BIZBASH is North America’s #1 source of ideas, news, and resources for event and meeting professionals.
At many of our corporate events, we are often asked by participants (with children) of our opinion regarding an assortment of games & activities designed for child interaction and entertainment…or junior team building, if you will. People are always picking our brains for exciting new ideas and suggestions – but more importantly, our professional thoughts on content, structure and suggested game parameters. Our answer is always the same – and it’s the same approach we take with all of our own activities: FUN IS THE NAME OF THE GAME! Always. And for all participants.
FROM OUR TEAM TO YOURS!
This past May, Teambonders had the distinct privilege of spending a day with the fine folks at Money Moron – a popular financial counseling television program, part of the Slice Network stable. Starring renowned financial advisor Gail Vaz-Oxlade, if you’ve never seen the program, here is a synopsis – as provided by Slice:
We often say to our customers that our team has one of the best jobs in the world! We not only get to meet fabulous people…from all walks of life…in all industries – but we get to lead them through interactive, engaging and fun activities. It’s like camp, but for adults. We think everyone should have some fun in the workplace – and we want to give some away for free! For the month of August, Teambonders will be holding a very special contest – at the end of which, we’ll be giving away a free team building event!
As mentioned in a previous edition, Teambonders has had the distinct privilege of working with some wonderful organizations – both big and small. This month, we take our proverbial caps off and salute all companies that are socially responsible, give back to their communities and are philanthropic in nature. More specifically, we want to honour charitable foundations – not only here in North America – but worldwide. The tireless, generous or selfless efforts of board members, employees and volunteers alike are invaluable. The impact of their collective acts of kindness is immeasurable. Whether it’s assisting those who are in dire need, helping those who are less fortunate, or even lending a simple helping hand to those struggling with day to day life – the world is a much better place because of your willingness to help.
While every client’s event specifics, needs and wants are very different and unique, there are many commonly asked questions by conference, event & meeting planners alike. Here are some of the most frequently asked questions we often field in phone calls and email inquiries:
From all of us at Teambonders, we wish everyone and their families (both personal and professional) a happy, healthy and prosperous new year! We’ve got an exciting year planned here at ICIC. To go along with our recent BLOG and E-NEWSLETTER ARCHIVE website additions, we have some exciting, new programs queued up in the 2013 pipeline – to add to our ever expanding repertoire of Interactive Corporate Fun:
Looking for a fun way to foster some further unity in the workplace? GOTCHA! is a great program to do it. Sure, the object of the game is to track down and “get” your opponents, but you’ll have a lot of fun with your fellow employees…and potentially meet new people in the company at the same time. This game works best with a large group of people – the more involved the better – and is certainly recommended for organizations where employees may not know each other. Play with people only on your floor or include the entire building. You set the boundaries.
